Pico do Areeiro Hiking Transfer

Explore Madeira’s high mountains on a self-guided hike starting at Pico do Areeiro, with transfer included so you can focus on the trail.

This option is ideal if you want to hike at your own pace with total freedom, while we take care of the logistics: shared pickup, clear instructions, and the return transfer.

Due to trail conditions, this experience follows an alternative program that combines the Stairway to Heaven section with the panoramic Vereda do Burro route, finishing at the Ecological Park of Funchal.

The PR1 trail is currently partially open, so the program is:

Pico do Areeiro → Stairway to Heaven (2.5 km round trip) → Vereda do Burro (7.3 km)
