Beyond Madeira share excellent communication links.Messages through WhatsApp were prompt, helpful, supportive and informative.
My wife and I rented an automatic car for 6 days which was easy to manage on the typical narrow, winding roads up to the many incredible viewpoints and places of interest. Routes in Madeira make driving exciting and enjoyable but very doable!
We had no problems with the car or driving. It's well worth having the freedom of a rental car to seek out and explore (with the help of Google maps) the best places to visit on Madeira.
Our special thanks to Beyond Madeira for arranging the car rental, delivering and collecting it from our hotel and making the experience easy and enjoyable.

We had a very positive experience with the car rental. The agent delivered the car directly to our hotel, which made everything easy and convenient. There were absolutely no hidden costs — no extra insurance or additional fees; everything was included in the originally advertised daily price. We also appreciated that no credit card was required, yet we still received full insurance coverage.

The airport drop-off was also incredibly smooth and simple. Next time we will definitely rent from you again.

For anyone planning to drive up into the mountains, we strongly recommend choosing a car with at least 100+ horsepower. Our Fiat Panda struggled quite a bit on the steep climbs.

Beyond Madeira were extremely helpful in advising on suitable trips given I was only staying for 4 nights. I finally decided on two full day trips by jeep - one the east of the island and the other the west. Both trips were excellent - we saw parts of the island you wouldn’t get to see if you were in a bigger bus. I would highly recommend Beyond Madeira and am already planning my next trips with them when I return at the end of February.

Beyond Madeira planned our activities for a very short trip, and the results were absolutely perfect. Because our time on the island was limited, it was paramount that our days were used wisely — seeing and doing as much as possible without cramming so much in that it became unenjoyable. They struck that balance beautifully.

Our catamaran tour exceeded our expectations. Of course, there’s always the chance of disappointment if you don’t see dolphins — but we did — and beyond that, the crew onboard was incredible. One of the highlights of the entire trip was being able to jump into the ocean for a swim, which was unforgettable.

We also did the East and West jeep tours, and our driver Jorge was fantastic — young, energetic, knowledgeable, and genuinely engaging. While Madeira easily deserves far more than two days to explore properly, the itinerary was absolutely perfect for the amount of time we had.

From the very beginning of planning — nearly nine months before our trip — Beyond Madeira was consistently accessible and responsive via both email and WhatsApp. They were equally attentive during our stay. When we needed to make scheduling adjustments, they handled everything immediately and without pressure. In fact, we ultimately decided to eliminate one activity so we could slow down a bit, and they were completely supportive of that choice.

Beyond Madeira made a short trip feel seamless, relaxed, and incredibly rewarding. We wouldn’t hesitate to work with them again and highly recommend them to anyone visiting Madeira.

I rented a car from Beyond Madeira. Was in contact with Milton on WhatsApp and what a top bloke! Banter on point. That aside he has been so supportive and informative. We used Beyond Madeira to procure a rental car for our 12 day stay on the Island. They were extremely helpful throughout the entire process. We were reassured that the price they found is what we would pay, with no hidden fees or extra insurance, and that was very accurate.

We got everything arranged on WhatsApp, and it was so easy! They gave us all the information we needed, picking up the car was a breeze, and we paid exactly what they said we would when we got there. The people on that team are so friendly and helpful. Their website is stacked with valuable resources as well like webcams to check what side of the island had better weather for the day, and different guides and maps.

Beyond Madeira took the stress and hassle out of the car on our trip. We will would love to come back and use their services again!

The company Beyond, through Hugo, was extremely helpful from the first contact, always conveying confidence and professionalism. They organized the activity with their partner Epic Madeira to ensure everything would run smoothly—and it did! The canyoning experience was challenging, exciting, and the team was superbly supported, making me feel safe and motivated from beginning to end. It was a dream I'd wanted to fulfill for a long time, and it exceeded all expectations.

We had the pleasure of using Beyond Madeira to book a rental car for a couple of days on the island. They made the process completely simple and transparent (we found other companies unclear, with additional or hidden fees), and they answered any questions or concerns promptly via WhatsApp. Communication was always clear and helpful, especially when suggesting parking areas in central Funchal. Our day exploring west Madeira was one we will cherish forever! This was largely made possible because of Beyond Madeira.
I booked the excursion a day before, but it was promptly organized for us. Antonio was our guide for the day. His knowledge of the island made it super fun to learn about the history or Madeira and also we got to see some sights and hidden spots that would be hard to find if we were going on our own.
I would definitely recommend this trip to anyone who wants to see this beautiful island without the hassle of driving through narrow winding roads.
