Funchal, Madeira, where the Beyond Madeira team is based

A licensed Funchal agency, founded by people who grew up here.

Beyond Madeira is a licensed travel agency that started in 2024 from a small office in Funchal. Milton Quintal was born and raised on the island, and he set it up to answer the questions visitors ask most: which tour is worth the money, where people really eat, whether the north coast road is safe in winter.

We do not run our own jeeps, boats or cars. We select local operators, car suppliers and places to stay, then sell them under one roof, with one team and one inbox. We have tried what we sell: we have been on the tours, driven the cars and visited the stays we list.

We started with a simple test: would we send our own family there? Every operator, car and stay here has to pass it.

Beyond Madeira is part of Beyond Travel Group, alongside Beyond Azores. One team and one Portuguese travel licence sit behind both brands.
