Description

Explore Levada do Alecrim on a guided walk through the western plateau of Madeira, one of the island’s most untouched and scenic areas.

This trail leads you deep into the valley, where natural rock pools and small lakes have been shaped over millions of years by flowing mountain waters. Surrounded by forest and dramatic terrain, the scenery changes constantly along the way.

Walk through a mix of levada paths, forest trails, and gentle mountain sections, ending near some of Madeira’s most beautiful natural lakes. In warmer months, you may even enjoy a refreshing swim in crystal-clear mountain water. A truly unique full-day nature experience.
