Description

Reach Madeira’s highest peak on a self-guided hike, starting from Achada do Teixeira and walking to Pico Ruivo at your own pace.

This is the simplest way to do PR1.2 without worrying about logistics: we pick you up, take you to the trailhead, explain the route, and pick you up again after the hike.

The trail is short and rewarding, with wide mountain scenery and, on clear days, views towards coastal towns like Santana and Porto da Cruz.
