Explore one of Madeira’s most classic levada walks on a guided trail from Ribeiro Frio to Portela, crossing the island’s UNESCO-listed Laurissilva forest.

Walk alongside the calm water channel as the scenery alternates between laurel and heather woodland, with a peaceful, steady pace that makes it easy to enjoy the details around you. As you approach Lamaceiros, the trail opens up to some of the best viewpoints on the north coast, with wide panoramas towards Porto da Cruz and Eagle Rock.

A perfect full-day option if you want a true levada experience with forest atmosphere and a strong viewpoint finish.
