Does this work without internet?
Yes, once you save the area on Wi-Fi. Open Google My Maps, import the file, then download the Madeira region before you travel. Pins, names, and our notes stay visible offline. Your phone's GPS still tracks your position without signal.
Which devices and apps does it support?
Google My Maps on iOS and Android, accessed through any browser. The KML file also imports into OsmAnd, Organic Maps, and Maps.me if you prefer a fully offline app. Desktop works too for planning before the trip.
What exactly is inside the map?
99 restaurants and cafés, 38 beaches and natural pools, 47 viewpoints (miradouros), 52 hike routes and levadas, 28 parking spots and 31 hand-picked hidden gems. Each pin has our note — best time to visit, tips on getting there, what to order.
