Disfrute de un cómodo traslado hasta el inicio del sendero y de un servicio de recogida al finalizar la ruta.\n\nRecorra la costa oriental de la isla a su propio ritmo. Se trata de una península de origen volcánico, formada principalmente por basalto, aunque con algunas formaciones sedimentarias de caliza. En su extremo se encuentran dos islotes: el islote Desembarcadouro y el islote Farol. El clima semiárido y la exposición a los vientos del norte explican la escasa vegetación y la ausencia de árboles en este paraje, en marcado contraste con el resto de la isla. Está catalogado como Reserva Natural Parcial, y alberga plantas de gran rareza y una fauna de notable diversidad.\n\nEl traslado compartido (con un máximo de 8 pasajeros por furgoneta) le recoge en su alojamiento (Funchal y Caniço). The weather was not on our side and we weren’t comfortable to do the PR1 due to strong winds. So, we decided not to risk it. We did the PR3 which was a very lovely hike. The trail is relatively well marked but we used All Trails to make sure we were on the correct path. PR3 is a very quiet trail and peaceful. We love mountains and trees and rivers, so it was excellent for us. PR3 is not challenging, apart in some small parts. We got to see some cute donkeys at the end and also had great coffee/tea/cake/food at the cafe near the bottom of the trail.\nMiguel is a top guide and an excellent drive! Very professional! He thoroughly explained both PR1 and PR3 trails!
