After breakfast back down the mountain, you walk the easy Balcões levada at Ribeiro Frio — about 90 minutes on the flat through laurel forest. Around 3.5 hours total, max 12 people, free pickup from Funchal. The Balcões entrance fee (€4.50) is paid on the day. Bring warm layers — the summit is colder than Funchal, every time.","short_description":"Sunrise tour to Pico do Arieiro followed by the Balcões levada walk.
