Verken het adembenemende Laurissilva-woud en het mystieke pad langs een waterkanaal, met weelderig groen uitzicht aan de ene kant en prachtige watervallen aan de andere. Bewonder de watervallen, eeuwenoude endemische bomen, het Levada-pad en voel de natuur van Queimadas.\n\nWord opgehaald bij je accommodatie met een gedeelde transfer (tot 8 gasten per bus). Eenmaal op de bestemming ontvang je je wandelinstructies met een tijdschema en uitleg bij de kaart. De wandeling is een heen-en-terugRoute van in totaal 15 km. Het startpunt is Queimadas Park. Het eindpunt bevindt zich aan het einde van het PR JOEL-pad (um Caminho para todos-pad) voor nog eens 1,9 km (20 tot 25 minuten).\n\nDeze wandeling neemt ongeveer 5,5 uur in beslag. De minimale hoogte op deze route is 872 meter en de maximale hoogte is 1062 meter, dus steile heuvels of trappen kom je hier nauwelijks tegen. The weather was not on our side and we weren’t comfortable to do the PR1 due to strong winds. So, we decided not to risk it. We did the PR3 which was a very lovely hike. The trail is relatively well marked but we used All Trails to make sure we were on the correct path. PR3 is a very quiet trail and peaceful. We love mountains and trees and rivers, so it was excellent for us. PR3 is not challenging, apart in some small parts. We got to see some cute donkeys at the end and also had great coffee/tea/cake/food at the cafe near the bottom of the trail.\nMiguel is a top guide and an excellent drive! Very professional! He thoroughly explained both PR1 and PR3 trails!
